Pool reopens with a splash next week

Invercargill's Splash Palace is set to reopen on Monday (4 July) after a month out of action due to maintenance.

To celebrate, the pool be offering a week of free hydroslide passes, free swim school lessons and discounted memberships.

Splash Palace manager Stephen Cook said everyone was invited to the Splash Bash week-long party to both welcome back and thank the community for their patience over the past couple of years.

“Between the hydroslides being temporarily closed, challenges during Covid and this planned maintenance we’ve had to ask for a lot of patience. This is our way of saying thank you to our loyal customers while showing off all of our hard work.”

Celebrations will culminate at a pool party that will feature music, inflatable slides, a pop-a-manu competition and prizes on a fun-filled Friday night, he said.

“There will be lots of giveaways and freebies and heaps of fun at the pool,” Cook said.

“We can’t wait for everyone to see the work we’ve been doing and to see how busy we’ve been,” he said.
