Southland Police are appealing for witnesses, who may have seen suspicious activity, following a suspicious fire in Church St, Gore at about 1am on 15 February.

Detective Senior Sergeant Greg Baird said they would also like to speak to a person seen in the vicinity of the train tracks by Hamilton Park overnight on 15 February.

It is possible that persons of interest may have suffered some injuries including burns.

Police and Fire investigators have conducted a scene examination.
