Police appeal for info following Invercargill crash

Police would like to speak to any witnesses of a two-vehicle crash that happened at the intersections of Ness Street and Janet Streets around 1:40am on Sunday 20 October.


Four people were transported to hospital following the crash - two in a critical condition and two in serious conditions following the crash.


One person remains in hospital with three others having now been discharged.



Police said they would like to hear from anyone who saw a silver Mazda station wagon around Pomona Street, near John Street, and the surrounding areas between 1:30am and 1:40am.


We would also like to hear from anyone who has footage from dashcam or CCTV from around that area on the night of the crash.


Police were at the time conducting 'Operation Hoon', an operation targeting antisocial road users and illegally modified vehicles, which saw 36 vehicles taken off the road.
