A man is in custody following an armed robbery at an Invercargill bank earlier today.
Police were called to Don Street about 12.20pm following a report of a man entering the bank with a knife and demanding cash.

A police spokeswoman said the man left the premises and handed himself in at Invercargill station a short time later.
Nobody was injured during the incident and an amount of cash was recovered she said.
The 26-year-old man was due to appear in Invercargill District Court today on a charge of aggravated robbery, and the spokeswoman said police are not seeking anyone else in relation to the incident.
Earlier, a sign in the door of the Kiwibank on Don Street saying "due to a serious incident this store is temporarily closed."
A witness at the scene, who did not wish to be named, wasn't sure what had happened but heard somebody had tried to "rob the bank".
