A pedestrian has died following a serious crash in Te Anau this morning.


Police said the driver of the vehicle involved left the scene, and they would now like to speak to them.


They are also calling on help from the public.



The crash, involving a car and a pedestrian, happened around 8.45am this morning (23 Feb) and resulted in the closure of part of the Town Centre and Miro Street.


Police would also like to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and witnessed the incident, or anyone who has dashcam footage of the crash, or the moments before it.
