Otago Polytechnic and the Southern Institute of Technology (SIT) have formalised their ongoing collaboration through a new Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for Trades. This agreement builds on a successful 2023 Southern Pilot, providing insights into apprentice training needs. Both institutions now deliver industry-led work-based learning, ensuring consistent support and services for learners regardless of where they live.
The MOU covers:

Mark Cartwright of Otago Polytechnic emphasises that this flexibility benefits both businesses and learners, providing reliable face-to-face support. Hamish Small of SIT values the enhanced cooperation and its positive impact on the region’s construction sector.
