One person has died following a crash involving 3 motorcycles on the Milford Road (SH 94) at around 10.50am this morning (7 Dec).

Two other riders suffered moderate to serious injuries.

The accident happened just south of the Homer Tunnel.

The road remains closed ahead of a Serious Crash Unit investigation, and is not expected to open until 6.30pm today.
