There have been no new cases of COVID-19 in New Zealand today.
This means New Zealand’s combined total of confirmed and probable cases remains at 1499, of which 1149 are confirmed.
There has been no change to the number of people reported to have recovered from the virus, 1433 people, representing 96% of all confirmed and probable cases.
Two people are receiving hospital-level care for COVID-19 – one each in Auckland and Middlemore hospitals. Neither of these patients is in intensive care.
The Southern District Health Board area figures are also unchanged: A total of 216 cases, two deaths and 213 recovered, leaving just one active case.
The World Health Organisation's latest situation report shows the number of confirmed cases globally has now reached 4,525,497 cases – and increase of 100,012 in the previous 24 hours. The official death toll grew by 5336 to a total of 307,395.
