New Line Charges For Te Anau Embedded Network

ELECTRICITY INFORMATION DISCLOSURE

NEW LINE CHARGES FOR TE ANAU EMBEDDED NETWORK

Here are Aurora Energy’s new line charges effective 1 April 2021.

Aurora Energy’s line charges include the cost of distributing electricity to you across our embedded network, and the costs levied by the parent network company (the Power Company) for the transmission and distribution of electricity to our embedded network.

The Commerce Commission regulates to constraint the charges of distribution businesses like Aurora Energy, to protect the interests of consumers, and sets stringent standards for service performance.

Aurora Energy provides network distribution services to electricity retailers and bills them line charges. Line charges are just one component of your power bill, and each retailer decides how it will reflect line charges in the amount you pay.

Accordingly, Aurora Energy cannot guarantee the line charges specified here are the line charges that retailers bill consumers.

For retail electricity prices, please contact your retailers.

Effective from 1 April 2021, this disclosure details our new line charge prices in accordance with the draft Aurora Energy Limited Electricity Distribution Customised Price-Quality Path (CPP) Determination of 2021, and the Electricity Distribution Information Disclosure Determination 2012.

Aurora Energy’s line charges will rise from 1 April in line with the Commerce Commission’s draft decision on its plans to invest around $114 million each year on operating, plus safety and reliability upgrades across the network.

A full explanation of the factors affecting this price change will be given in our updated pricing methodology, due for publication on our website (www.auroraenergy.co.nz) on, or before, 31 March 2021. All charges exclude GST.
