Chami Abeysinghe has been appointed to the role of Chief Executive for Great South..

The Great South Boardsaid in a statement that they were delighted to have appointed someone of Chami’s calibre to lead Great South and drive regional development.

Chami will join Great South from her current role as International Director at the Southern Institute of Technology on 19th September.

Abeysinghe has previously held several executive roles internationally in the education, exporting, and marketing sectors, and has significant experience in stakeholder engagement, financial management and strategic planning.

The role of chief executive has been vacant since the death of Graham Budd in April.
