Entries for the popular Bluff Oyster Fringe Festival Fashion Show in May are now open.

The show is part of a week of activity in Bluff based around the Bluff Oyster & Food Festival, which is held Saturday, 22 May, and is already sold out. There will be two fashion shows in Bluff on Thursday, 20 May and Sunday, 23 May.

The opportunity for designers to enter remains open until Monday, 3 May, and garments must be ready by Friday, 7 May.

The show will have a nautical theme.

Categories include Open – which includes conventional materials, Wearable Art where anything goes, Junior for primary school students and School for high school students. Both the Junior and School categories can use either conventional materials or wearable art.

The entry fee for designers is $10 per entry with funds contributing to category prize money. Any excess will be donated to one of Bluff's trusts or community groups and will stay within the community.

Entry forms are available by emailing [email protected]

Festival organisers are also keen to hear from anyone interested in being part of the street market on Saturday, 22 May, which returns after an enforced absence last year due to Covid-19 alert levels.

Potential stallholders can register their interest by contacting Bluff’s Publicity/Promotions Officer, Lindsay Beer, at 021 351 499 or at [email protected]
