The family of missing Alexander man Wayne Hammond say the 11 days since he disappeared have been "harrowing".
Hammond has not been seen, or made contact with his family or friends, since the morning of Monday, 1 November, 2021.
His family and work colleagues yesterday made a further appeal for information that will lead to his whereabouts.
"Wayne is a loving, caring and engaged husband, father, son and friend," the family said, in a statement released by NZ Police.
"Not knowing where he is, and if he is okay is inexplicably hard.
"To anyone who thinks they may know something that can help, we ask you to please come forward.
"Even if you don't think what you have to tell Police is relevant, we'd rather discount the information than not know about it."
The family said they have been overwhelmed by the support from the local community, both from people who know the family and many who don't.
"We are taking things day by day and want more than anything to have Wayne home with us.
"To the people who have come forward to offer information, we want to thank you."
Hammond's employer, Rory McLellan, McLellan's and Rockgas Alexandra, said he's worked there for three years and is a valued and respected member of our close-knit team.
"Not having him here each day is extremely hard for us to process.
"Wayne and I have literally worked side by side since he began with us.
"I regard him as both a good friend and a fantastic team member.
"On behalf of all of his colleagues, and alongside his family, we want to encourage anyone with information to please get in touch with Police."
Hammond's work vehicle was seen leaving his Henderson Drive address at about 7.30am on Monday, 1 November.
His vehicle (photo below) was found in the car park underneath the Clyde Bridge, at the start of the Clyde-Alexandra track at about 3pm on Monday afternoon.
Anyone with information, including Dash camera footage from Monday 1 November on the Alexandra-Clyde Road and surrounds, specifically Earnscleugh Road is asked to contact Police.
Information can be provided via 105 quoting file number 211102/8777.
