Road status:

CLOSING from East Gate (Hollyford) to Donne River (Westgate) at 5pm

Closing due to heavy rain from Thursday night through all of Friday increasing avalanche hazard.

Expected to reopen reasonably early Saturday.

Given the heavy warm rain forecast there is a good indication this will spell the end the avalanche season over the next few days
