CLOSING from East Gate (Hollyford) to Donne River (Westgate) 5pm

Comments:

The road is open and will close tonight at 5pm. It is highly likely that the road will be closed all day Wednesday due to warm heavy rain increasing the avalanche risk. The rest of the week is looking unsettled with snow and rain forecast, so further travel disruptions may be possible. Any queries please ring 03 249 7004.

Today: Showers turning to rain later. 

Tomorrow: Heavy rain.

Thursday: Showers clearing. Snow possible above about 700 metres.

Friday: Fine at first, but showers developing later with snow possible near the tunnel.

Saturday: Periods of rain, possibly heavy. Snow about the tunnel possible at first.
