A heavy rainfall event is forecast for Sunday evening through into Monday – increasing avalanche hazard and potentially reactivating the recent storm damage (slips / tree-fall).

Some broad guidance for access to Milford Sound based on the current forecast is as follows - possible road closure from Cascade Creek to Donne River Bridge from Sunday evening through Monday morning.

We will update this guidance in the 7:30am Saturday Road Report.
