Two men have appeared in the Invercargill District court this morning in relation to a robbery at an Invercargill dairy on July 30, where a member of the public was stabbed.
Adam John Hamilton (38) and Jamie Lee Phillips are jointly charged with aggravated robbery, theft of under $500, theft of a motor vehicle and wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
They appeared separately via audio visual link in Invercargill District Court before Judge Russell Walker.

Judge Walker remanded Hamilton in custody until January 25, 2021.
Hamilton has previously pleaded guilty to aggravated robbery, theft of a motor vehicle and theft of petrol (under $500) in relation to the July 30 incident, however, he has pleaded not guilty to wounding with an intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
His defence lawyer Fergus Moore said Hamilton is charged as a party.
Phillips was remanded in custody until November 30 for another case review hearing.

On July 30, the Dee Night ‘n Day on Dee Street was reportedly robbed by two male offenders at knife and gun point just before 9.30 pm.
Following the incident, Detective Senior Sergeant Stuart Harvey said a member of the public was stabbed after trying to intervene.
The victim was then taken to Southland hospital and has since been discharged.
Mr Harvey also said the offenders took a small quantity of cash before leaving in a vehicle, which was later located abandoned nearby.
