RealNZ is looking for someone to look after the day-to-day requirements of the Meridian Lodge.
This is a varied role - you will be chef, housekeeper, administrator and host!
The lodge accommodates staff and contractors who work at the West Arm Power Station on Lake Manapouri.
This is a full-time role based on a 4 days on, 3 days off roster, helping you find that perfect life-work blend!
As part of the role you will be required to:
• Welcome and host guests
• Maintain the cleanliness of the accommodation, including servicing rooms
• Prepare, cook and serve breakfast, dinner and drinks daily
• Coordinate the day-to-day requirements of the lodge and its guests
• Perform administration duties associated with the Lodge operations
We're looking for someone who has:
• Experience working in a kitchen and proven cooking skills are a must, preferably you'll have experience working as a Chef in a commercial kitchen
• Excellent people and communication skills are key in this role
• Experience or eagerness to work in a remote environment
• Ability to work autonomously
• Reporting and administration skills
• Duty Manager's Certificate is preferable, but not essential
