Leslie Hutchins Conservation Foundation Trustee
The Leslie Hutchins Conservation Foundation, set up by Sir Les Hutchins in 1994, supports efforts to protect and preserve New Zealand’s conservation areas within Fiordland / Otago & Southland (including Rakiura).
Funds raised by the Foundation are used for charitable purposes to protect and preserve conservation initiatives in Fiordland / Otago & Southland (including Rakiura) as well as providing financial support for at-risk or disadvantaged youth to enable all New Zealanders to experience these areas.
The Foundation is currently seeking to appoint a trustee with a passion for conservation and community projects to facilitate the implementation of the strategic purpose of the foundation through fundraising, marketing, communications, delivery and operations.
They will contribute to the Board with strengths and capabilities from their experience and knowledge.
The Trustee will have strong ties to Southland, Otago, Fiordland and Rakiura and have the ability to give time freely and draw on their networks to support our work. They will be able to commit up to 10 days per year to attend meetings and function.
This is an honorary position with no financial benefits.
