Police have now released the name of the man who died following a multi-vehicle accident on SH6 near Kingston on Thursday (19 Dec).

He was Timothy Peter Herrick, aged 36, of Invercargill.

The accident, which occurred near the intersection of SH6 with Glen Nevis Station Road at 4.05pm, involved one bus and two cars.

Two other people were critically injured, while others in the bus sustained moderate to serious injuries.
