The successful candidate will:
Collect and analyse information about newsworthy events,
Receive assignments,
Evaluate news leads.
Using integrity and impartiality, you will:
Verify facts,
Conduct interviews,
Undertake research,
Provide articles in a professional, clear, and concise manner.
Experience in - and enjoyment of - writing community news is essential.
You will also be responsible for developing constructive relationships with community groups and providers including police, emergency services and community leaders.
With instant publishing access, you’ll have the ability to break stories and stay at the forefront of developments.
You will be working between 20 to 30 hours a week with a small but enthusiastic team.
