Varied role in remote location, with accommodation provided. Coordinate and control all operational requirements of the Lodge, including accommodation, catering and administration.  

About the Role

We are looking for a Lodge Attendant to work at the Meridian Lodge, which accommodates up to 30 staff and contractors who are involved with the daily operations of the West Arm Power Station on Lake Manapouri.

This a full-time, live in position for your four days on, which will see you living in the Lodge in the staff accommodation provided.

It’s the perfect role for someone looking to work remotely and escape the day-to-day bustle or someone looking for some work-life balance.

You will be required to:

• Welcome and host guests
• Make bookings and coordinate the day-to-day requirements of the lodge and its guests
• Complete stock ordering and monitor orders
• Perform administration duties associated with the Lodge operations such as account reconciliation 
• Maintain the cleanliness of the accommodation, including servicing rooms
• Prepare, cook and serve breakfast, dinner and drinks daily from a set menu of easy kiwi homecooked meals

Skills & Experience

• Excellent people and communication skills is key
• Experience or eagerness to work in a remote environment
• Reporting and administration skills
• Ability to work autonomously
• Experience in a similar role, or working with food preparation and safety
• Duty Manager’s Certificate is preferable, but not essential
