Award-winning Irish comedian Alan McElroy will jet down south to perform a one-off show in Invercargill on Friday (November 20).
His mission is to make the people of Southland roar with laugher all while raising money for a good cause.
The renowned stand-up comedian will perform his show ‘Alan McElroy is Down South’ at the Corinthian Centre from 7 pm.

Funds raised from this show will go to Invercargill-based, not-for-profit organisation Greenlight Innovations so it can continue to support its community events, such as St Patricks Day Festival in Invercargill and Free Comic Book Day.
Greenlight Innovations also supports the Bluff Oyster Festival, TEDx Invercargill and the charitable organisation Koha Kai.
Now based in New Zealand, Alan McElroy hails from Dublin and is a regular headliner and MC at The Classic Comedy Club in Auckland and has hosted live TV in New Zealand and Ireland.

He won 'Best Newcomer' at the 2011 New Zealand Comedy Guild Awards, and was also nominated for ‘Best MC’ in 2017.
McElroy has performed at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Electric Picnic (Ireland), the Melbourne International Comedy Festival and has sold out shows in the New Zealand International Comedy festival.
He is also a regular panellist on the RNZ show, The Panel.
