Invercargill police called to sudden death

Invercargill Police are responding to a "sudden death incident" in the north west of the city.


Officers were called to Beatrice Street, off Bill Richardson Drive, at 1.40pm.


The street is close to the Waihopia River.


Two St John ambulances and at least three police cars attended the incident.


A police spokesperson said there is no further information at this time.
