About the Role

As an advertising representative of the Southland App, you will be responsible for connecting with our existing (and new) local business managers/members, discussing their promotional requirements and selling them a tailor-made digital advertising package that best meets both their campaign and budget.

You will need to be:

• Well-organised
• Self-motivated
• Well-presented
• Honest and reliable
• Goal focused
• Resilient and determined

You will need to have:

• Solid written and oral communication skills
• Attention to detail
• Computer skills (capable of keeping on top of emails, basic spreadsheets and our in-house CRM database)
• A willingness to learn and understand our products end-to-end
• A good general knowledge

It's true - selling advertising is not for the faint-hearted - but if you're already an enthusiastic user of The Southland App, then you'll understand our excitement and the potential this local news app can offer.

While previous sales experience would be a distinct advantage, we're willing to take a chance on you if you can effectively sell yourself to us.

Applicants for this position must hold a full driver's licence and be a New Zealand citizen, permanent resident, or hold an appropriate work visa.
