Community Trust South (CTS) has named Margot Hishon as its new Heamana/Chair.

The Southland based Trust manages a community endowment of over $250 million and distributes millions of dollars annually in grants, scholarships, and community loans.

Hishon, who previously chaired the organisation from 2016 to 2018, was reappointed to the CTS in December by Associate Minister of Finance, Shane Jones, along with five other new trustees.

Based in Winton, Hishon also holds several key governance roles in Central Southland.

Hishon acknowledged outgoing chair and board member, Kirsty Pickett, for her mahi in chairing the board during the last 18 months, and the contribution she made to the Trust and the communities that it serves.
