Hawthorndale Care Village has announced the appointment of Lynley Irvine as its new General Manager, signalling a strong next phase as the Village continues to grow and enhance its daily operations.

Since opening, Hawthorndale Care Village has introduced a pioneering aged care model to Southland, inspired by the Dutch De Hogeweyk approach and designed to support residents' independence within a safe, familiar village environment.

With the foundations now well established, the focus is naturally turning to embedding consistency and operational excellence across the Village. Lynley joins Hawthorndale at a time of positive momentum.

Her role will centre on strengthening operational practice, supporting the Village’s dedicated teams and ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality aged care that places people at the heart of every decision.

Lynley brings deep experience in aged care management, including dementia care leadership, operational oversight and team development.

Her approach is grounded in compassionate practice, values-led leadership and a strong belief in enabling people to do their best work.

“I am honoured to step into this role at such an exciting time for Hawthorndale Care Village,” said Lynley Irvine.

“There is a strong foundation already in place, and I am looking forward to building on that work. My focus is on supporting our teams and residents as we continue to strengthen our operations and ensure Hawthorndale remains a place of care that feels supportive and truly like home.”
