Zirka Circus is coming to Invercargill this week and is celebrating its 10-year anniversary with a new show, "Into the Future".

This is the first and only contemporary circus to be owned and operated in New Zealand and Australia by a woman, with managing director Jeni Hou and her family having been in the entertainment and circus industry for three generations.

Ms Hou said some things audiences can expect this time around include contortionists, acrobats, comedy, and the world's biggest "Sphere of Fear", which would feature five motorcyclists riding in a spherical cage.

Zirka Circus' "Into the Future" tour is coming to Invercargill on Boxing Day (December 26) and will run until Sunday, January 5.
