Fuel prices are expected to rise by up to 29 cents per litre, and road user charges by 36%, from midnight tonight (30 Jan).

The price rise is expected after the termination of a government scheme, first introduced in March 2022 to help counter a volatile global fuel market and cost of living pressures, which saw 25 cents per litre discounted from petrol.

The 29 cent increase includes GST.
