One person has died following a single-vehicle crash in Mataura late last night (13 Dec).

Police said they were called to the crash on Oakland Street about 10.05pm.

Sadly, the sole occupant died at the scene.

Police said the Serious Crash Unit has examined the scene, and the death will be referred to the Coroner.
