Environment Southland deputy chairman Lloyd McCallum has announced he is stepping aside from his role on the council's regulatory committee while an investigation into a complaint relating to his property is investigated.
In a statement issued today, Mr McCallum says he was made aware on Friday (5th June) that a complaint had been made about some cows near a river on his property.
"This is being investigated by Environment Southland. I have decided to stand aside from my role on the Council Regulatory Committee until this investigation is completed."
"I will be making no further comment on the matter while the investigation is underway."
