There's no planned search activity today after Police reported yesterday a body had been located near Teal Bay at the southern end of Lake Hauroko.

Invercargill Police were notified late on Friday (May 31) that a boat and its occupants were missing on the lake.

A Police media spokesperson said yesterday's search recovered debris that is believed to be missing from the boat.

A Search and Rescue team was assessing what next steps they would be taking, she said.

A search of the lake was undertaken using a local boat operator yesterday. About midday police located a body.

Police, using a helicopter and jet boat, searched the lake for the boat and the one remaining missing occupant yesterday.
