A positive COVID-19 case has been confirmed in Dunedin, while a second case is now in Queenstown.
The Dunedin case was infectious while in Dunedin, Wanaka, and Cromwell.
Southern District Health Board are asking anyone who has been in these areas recently to check the Ministry of Heath's locations of interest website

Anyone with cold or flu like symptoms, no matter how mild, should get tested for COVID-19 and isolate at home until a negative test result is returned.
The most common early symptoms of the Omicron variant is a sore or scratchy throat, and a runny nose.
The second Queenstown case is a household contact of the first case reported yesterday.
All cases are currently isolating at home.
