We started off the new school year with ‘Whānau Time’ on Tuesday morning and then had a whole school photo.
Whānau Time will continue to happen weekly on a Monday morning in Room 1 from 9:10am.
This is a time when we will all come together to go over anything happening for the week, give any reminders, and for students to have a chance to share anything they’ve been up to outside of school e.g., weekly sports, Scouts, community events etc.
If you are around on a Monday morning and would like to join us, you are more than welcome to.
After a quiet first few weeks of the term, things are all go!
Classes had been out getting ready for athletics, and making the most of some extra lessons in the pool before REAP join us later in term1 !
Thanks to Marie (Archie’s nana) for coming in and working in the pool with the junior classes.
A huge well done to Eva and Cameron who competed at the Central Southland Swimming Sports in Winton.
Thank you to Whaea Nish for managing the team on the day and to Haley for giving up her time to help with the timekeeping.
Athletics - at Central Southland College – Winton were held on the Chilly 8th March.
Thanks to the families for their efforts with athletics and working together with transport.
Well done to everyone who competed, there was a lot of positive feedback from both students and staff in Whānau.
Charlee, Ritchie ,Flynn, Zaria & Paigan made it through for the Central Zone Athletic Sports on Friday 19th March!
Awesome effort in representing our school.
Wednesday 10 March was the first day for our ‘Hub’ classroom in Room 1 with students from Ko Taku Reo (Deaf Education), coming together to learn for the day.
It is nice to have a few extra faces around!
They have enjoyed mixing with our students at break times, and its wonderful having this opportunity to host this school, and learn from the children and their teachers.
We also added some green to our uniforms for St Patrick's Day!
It certainly brightened up our day!
