Ki ora,

It is with great pride and excitement that I write this snippet for the newsletter to introduce myself as your newly appointed Principal, starting in 2021. My name is Lisa Brady and currently I am teaching at Riverton Primary School.

I have been in education for the past 16 years and prior to moving to Riverton I was teaching at Fox Glacier School.

I grew up in Darfield and completed my degree at Canterbury University.

After teaching for 5 years at Hurunui College in Hawarden I moved to London where I lived and taught for two years, while making the most of being able to travel and explore!

I’m a keen swimmer, badminton player and like to cook, craft, read and travel.

Before the holidays I came to meet the staff and this term I will be onsite a couple of days to meet the students and spend time catching up with the staff.

My first visit will be on Friday the 30^th of October, I’ll be onsite all day and will be at assembly in the afternoon.

I will be around after school so feel free to stay and introduce yourself or pop in during the day to see me.

I can’t wait to join the Wallacetown team, get to know your children and lead your/our wee school going forward.

Eastern Athletics Day Friday 23 Oct at Central Southland College. We were lucky enough with the weather holding out and only a few spots of rain. The Children all tried their hardest, with 6 making it to Central Zone Athletics

With the fine weather, the Children are enjoying being outdoors, weeding some of the Community Garden , playing soccer, even convincing one of the teachers to have a go on rollerskates!

The Wallacetown School swimming pool is open.

Keys can be hired for the season from the School Office $65.00 .
