Matariki Celebration Day
On Friday 2 July we had a Matariki Celebration Day.
All term we have been learning about what Matariki is.
During our celebration day we were able to run four different activities that involved Kia-o-rahi, making fry bread, presentation on histories and Matariki.
To end the day each class showed their learning about Matariki through different mediums ranging from a drama play, visual arts to presentations on the chromebooks.
We were fortunate to have members of our local community and the Hokonui Runanga help us in making this day happen.
Deep Cove Camp
At the end of May our Year 6-8 students were fortunate enough to attend Camp at Deep Cove.
There they were able to go fishing, learn about marine life, go on bush walks, climb the confidence course and many more fun activities.
