Te Anau School has had an action packed start to the year.

We have made the most of the beautiful summer weather and have enjoyed taking our learning out into our local environment.

Our Senior Team has been boating down at Blue Gum Point.

Our Middle Team has been at Ivon Wilson Park developing our TOP school values by working Together with Optimism and Pride.

Our Junior Team has explored the Water Park and learned kayaking skills down at the pontoon.

We have also been busy preparing for Athletics and Swimming Sports.

A team of Year 5 and 6 students have also managed to get down to Invercargill and participate in the Rugby Southland Rippa Tournament.

A highlight for everyone was welcoming home our Principal, Mr Excell from his solo circumnavigation of Lake Te Anau in his kayak.

Mr Excell paddled 319.5km in nine days to raise money and publicity for our much needed school hall.
