Celebrating Southland Schools

Riverton Primary School has got off to a flying start for 2021.
We have had two school camps and the third will be at the end of March.
Our Year 5 camp had three days in Queenstown with the students having time in the lake on ski biscuits, visiting the Arrowtown museum, gold panning, visiting the gondola and luge then finishing with our own brand of the Amazing Race!
Our year 4 students overnighted in Dunedin and stayed in the Dunedin Museum.
We visited Baldwin Street, the Botanic Gardens, Lazer Tag, Gone Potty, Nova and Moana Pool.
The Year 6 children will have three days at Camp Columbia in Pukerau from 24th-26th March.
We have had the Western Swimming sports and by the time this goes to print we will have had the school and Western Zone athletics sports.

Trent Archer is in the year 2 and 3 class, having moved down from Auckland to be a member of the Riverton team.
I am Allan Mitchell and I have been the relieving Principal for the team while Tim Page re-charges his batteries and has some running repairs before re-joining the school next term.
