Lochiel School Fundraiser - Forest Hill Trail Run.

The fourth annual Forest Hill Trail Run, held on Sunday February 23rd was an epic day! The energy was high, the community was buzzing, and the trails were calling!

Our event brings together a mix of families, seasoned runners and first-time participants to enjoy the stunning Forest Hill and magnificent farmland. The event raises funds for our wee rural school, Lochiel School, helping promote healthy bodies and healthy minds whilst showcasing our beautiful backyard.

We were super excited to welcome both those who keep coming back and new faces to our event. This year was our biggest yet and included many Lochiel School children.

Rain showers greeted everyone at check-in, but that didn't dampen anyone’s spirit. Our participants took on the paddocks and tracks with determination and excitement. As the rain cleared up, the sun peeked through the clouds, making for a perfect running environment. No matter what category, 5km, 15km or 25km, or speed every single person on the track did themselves proud!

As always, DJ Numnuts kept the energy up by blasting out the tunes and friendly banter, the BBQ was cranked and coffee enjoyed, all helping create a fun home base and finish line. There was an awesome atmosphere as runners completed their routes and shared stories of their adventures on the trail. We loved seeing everyone smashing their goals.

The Forest Hill Trail Run couldn’t go ahead without our team of sponsors, helpers on the day and the landowners. We appreciate their support in helping us make this an event such a success.
