The Forest Hill Trail Run held their 3rd trail run event on Sunday, 18 February 2024, and what a day out it was.

This event is run by the parents, staff and PTA of Lochiel School, where all funds raised from this event go to Lochiel School PTA to help support resources to promote healthy bodies and healthy minds in our community as well as giving a contribution to the great work done by The Forest Hill Trust.

We had over 180 runners and walkers take our 5km, 15km and 25km tracks held within the magnificent Forest Hill Reserve and adjoining private farmland.



At 9.50am we had a warmup with Stephanie from the NRG Winton gym and enjoyed some tunes and banter with our favourite DJ - DJ Numnuts.

At 10.00am our 15km & 25km runners took off for their journey ahead, some with nervous smiles and some with determination to beat their records from the previous years.

Our long distance runners got to enjoy the Forest Hill Reserve and also 3 private farms, enjoying the views that not many get to see!

Along the track they were delighted by signs created by the Lochiel students to encourage them to keep going :)

Not long after our longer runners took off, our 5km runners and walkers took to the trail to enjoy the shorter but enjoyable track that summited through to the top of the reserve onto private farmland, where they took in the views and returned back to our home base where everyone enjoyed a cold ice block and a hot sausage and a fantastic medal made by CSDesignz - even some fun games at the kids area.

Ginger Crunch Coffee kept our supporters caffeinated while they enjoyed the homebase fun and awaited their friends and family.
