Jenny - From Edendale Primary School
Edendale Primary School is the school ‘Where our Dreams Begin’ so we love seeing our past students go on to make their dreams come true.
During the Covid Lockdown one of our past students shot to fame for her specialist nursing care to the Prime Minister of Great Britain. Well done to Jenny McGee a student at our school in the
early nineties.

External Property Work - Big Next Step for the Future
Over the years we have invested a lot into the internal buildings of our school.
This year we are seeing a significant and big push to upgrade our external environment to set us up for the next decades.
Pathways, fences, gates, driveways, play surfaces, seating and vegetation are being reorganised, modernised and upgraded.
We are looking forward to enjoying our refreshed new surrounds in early Term Four.
Celebrating - Mrs Broni Tumataroa
20 years is a significant amount of time, and that is what Mrs Broni Tumataroa has provided to us here at Edendale Primary School as our Office Manager.
Her professional, thorough, confidential, skillful work has contributed to the success of our school on so many levels.
Whilst we celebrate this momentous contribution of Mrs T to our school and through that our community, we are also sadly farewelling her. We wish we could keep her forever but know that this is not possible.
All the best Mrs T and thanks for everything.
Senior Leadership Team - Shared Leadership
Edendale Primary School moves forward through strong leadership that comes from all areas of the school. Pivotal to this are the contributions of our Deputy Principal, Mrs Jenny Coyle and Assistant Principal, Mrs Laura Russell.
Laura Russell (AP)
Jenny Coyle (DP)
Mrs Coyle and Mrs Russell join with the principal to form our Senior Leadership Team that has a strong grounding in the classroom and an excellent understanding of the breadth of the school experience for the children.
The focus is constantly on what we can do better and how. The Senior Leadership Team is working on our school systems with an eye towards continuous improvement.
Growing Children with Character and Values - PB4L
Edendale Primary School is involved in PB4L (Positive Behaviour for Learning).
PB4L is a Ministry of Education programme that establishes a foundation of values to help guide the interactions of children and staff in the school.
The aim of values is to produce positive and purposeful meaningful relationships of aroha across our schools.
Our four values that help us do this are...
Each term we focus on one value teaching and encouraging children to put it into practice into their daily school lives inside and outside of the classroom.
Music - Growing Creative Children
Each Wednesday we have an itinerant music teacher, Mr Peter Power, come and teach our children.
He currently has 20% of our roll (30+ students) learning instruments.
Mr Power has started up two bands for these students. We love it and so do the children!
