Taking Learning Outside the Classroom
At the beginning of the year, we started our Enviroschools journey.
As part of this, as a school we have getting out and about enjoying our natural environment we have at our school.
We have had lots of fun experiences engaging with nature and the outdoors, while also using this time to get inspired about what we can do in order to be better kaitiaki (guardians) of our environment and what projects we can start around the school.

Mr Sullivan from Enviroschools Southland came to teach us about native birds and pests.

CARNIVAL
Miss Ross and the Ruma Maunga students organised a fabulous Carnival Day.
Despite the pouring rain, all children had a wonderful time buying treats, and having a go at the range of activities on offer.
