Declan standing on our new painted stone footpath, the students painted the stones in their club classes last term and Mr and Mrs Dyer built the footpath in the holidays….it looks super bright !!

Our Tuakana teina buddies programme occurs each Friday afternoon.

All the children enjoy starting their session by reading together, followed by a skill session and fun activity

We had a visit from The Life Education Bus and Harold…. The children all had an informative time in the bus, and Room 1 especially enjoyed meeting Harold, dancing, and being amongst the twinkling stars.

Room 1 and 3 were learning about being Resilient, and Room 4 was learning about Harmful substances.

Thank you to Teresa for once again doing an excellent job with our children.

Buddy Reading

Room 4 Teacher Miss Ross and her two lambs, the white faced one was aptly named Cloud by Dodie and the black faced one is named Cecilia by Charlotte and Ella M.

Miss Ross brings them to school everyday and is getting them ready for our upcoming Pet Day on the 16th of October, they will be well accustomed to all the attention from the children!!

Room 1 Children working on their writing!!!

‘Bubble Blowing Challenge’.

Today the whole school was involved in designing and creating ‘Bubble Blowers.’

This challenge was completed with their tuakana teina buddies.

Children were asked to bring along recycled items from home that they wished to use to create an amazing bubble blower, plus there were lots of materials at school which they could use.

Their designs and teamwork was incredible.

Well done to everyone for such fabulous work.

Thanks to Miss Banks for coordinating this challenge.

GATE Science (Gifted and Talented Education) Room 4 had a fabulous time attending the sessions with Dr Sue Galloway.

Some of the activities they did included extracting DNA from onions, as well using water to make incredible flames.
