Invercargill Police have charged a 25-year-old man with intent to cause grievous bodily harm over a shooting earlier this month.
A 19-year-old man was alleged shot four times in the back at a property in Tweed Street, on Saturday, October 2, at about 4.40pm.
The 25-year-old had previously been charged with possession of ammunition, resisting police and assaulting police in relation to the incident. Officers have now laid the new charge as well. He is remanded in custody until he appears in the Invercargill District Court on November 16.

Three other people have already been charged over the incident.
A 26-year-old woman and a 21-year-old man were charged with firearms offences, and a 36-year-old man has been charged with firearms and drug offences.
They remain in custody.
