A New Zealand Defence Force Boeing P-8A Poseidon from the Airforce's No.5 Squadron is scheduled to make fly-overs of several Southland towns tomorrow (25 Apr) as communities around the south commerate Anzac Day.


Approximate times Southlanders should look skyward for the P-8A Poseidon are;


0917 Oban Waterfront, Stewart Island

0923 Bluff Memorial Grove, Flagstaff Road

0923 Bluff Cenotaph, Marine Parade

0926 Waikiwi Gardens Rest Home, Invercargill 

0937 Tuatapere RSA Hall, Tuatapere


0941 Otautau Cenotaph, Otautau

0945 ANZAC Oval, Winton

0950 Mataura Cenotaph, Mataura

0952 Gore RSA, Gore


All flights are subject to weather conditions and operational requirements. 


Other parts of the country may also see Airforce aircraft tomorrow, which include the A109 Light Utility helicopter, NH90 helicopter, C-130H (NZ) Hercules, T-6C Texan II, SH-2G(I) Seasprite helicopter, and the Air Force Heritage Flight of New Zealand.
