It's been a busy start to the year for us here at Tokanui School. We started off with a team at Agrikids in early February where our team did well and really enjoyed the day out.

They had a series of activities to complete and worked together well as a team.

Following this we had our FireWise programme where the local fire volunteer brigade came and talked to the students about being fire wise.

Then our own Athletics day where the qualifiers went on to represent Tokanui School at the Southern Zone Athletics. We were lucky with the weather on this day.

St John came and showed us some basic First Aid. This was a good learning experience for our students.

Last week we were privileged to have the "Wood is Good" programme come to our school.

This gave the children an opportunity to see what happens to all our wood sources plus gave some of the kids a chance to sit in a logging truck.
