A Lotto ticket purchased at Invercargill’s Collingwood Foodcentre is one of 10 around the country to share in the $50 million Powerball jackpot drawn last night.
There were no First Division winners in last night’s “Must Be Won” draw so the jackpot rolled down to Powerball Second Division. The other nine winning tickets were all sold in the North Island.
Each prize is made up of $5 million from Powerball First Division, $7631 Powerball Second Division and $16,368 from Lotto Second Division making a total prize of $5,023,999.
Meanwhile, a ticket sold at the Wyndham Four Square was one of 10 to win a $100,000 share of Lotto First Division.
Anyone who bought their ticket from any of the winning stores should write their name on the back of the ticket and check it online at or through the Lotto NZ App.
“We know New Zealanders will be excited to check their ticket after last night’s $50 million Must Be Won draw. Keeping everyone safe is our main priority right now, so if you are planning to check your ticket in-store, it’s really important that you keep yourself and others safe by following the Government's health and safety guidelines,” says Marie Winfield, Head of Communications and Corporate Social Responsibility at Lotto NZ.
Players can phone Lotto on 0800 695 6886 if they want to enquire about the best way to claim a prize.
