The 2021 Southland A&P Show, including the Friday Night Market which was scheduled for the 5,6 & 7 of March 2021 has been cancelled.
This will be the first time the annual show has not been held since World War II.
The organisers made the tough decision to cancel the show after the Government moved Auckland to Alert Level 3 and the remainder of the nation to Alert Level 2 early this morning.
“It is not a decision made lightly by any regard.” President Paula Bell said.

At this stage the Home Industries Section, Beef Herdsperson and Dairy Showmanship will be held on an alternative date and place once Alert Level 2 restrictions are lifted.
There may also be a chance for Showjumping to be held at a later date.
The show had put a considerable number of hours into planning this year's show but the safety of their people and province was their priority.
They will however still be continuing with their major fundraising raffle for the Southland Charity Hospital.
Entrants, Competitors, Trade and Sponsors will be contacted by the committee over the next few days.
