Peacefully after a short illness, Doug’s final race was run, at Ascot Bupa on Friday 11 October 2024.

In his 91st year.

Loved husband of Margaret for the past 67 years.

Amazing and loving Dad to Janeen, Alistair, Grant, Murray, and Katrina.

Loved father-in-law of David, Simone, Lorraine, Sharron, and Paul.

The best Grandad of James, Ben, Nick, David, Dylan, Harvey, Matthew, Campbell, Lachlan, Gregor, Christina, and their partners.

Loved great Grandad of Zadie, Emerson, Jimmy, Blake, and Claire.

Only son of the late Elles and the late Annie Wood.

A big thank you to the Ascot Bupa staff for their amazing care of Dad at such short notice
