John passed away peacefully on 27 April 2023 at Longwood Care Home, Riverton.

Aged 94 years.

Dearly loved son of the late Jan and Josephine Vermeulen - Van Lierop.

Treasured brother and uncle of the Vermeulen family in the Netherlands, Australia, and New Zealand.

A very special friend of the Greaney and Adair families.

Our sincere thanks for the exceptional care of John both in Te Anau and at Longwood Care Home.

 A service to celebrate John’s life will be held at Saint Bernard’s Catholic Church, Mokonui Street, Te Anau, at 1.00pm on Tuesday May 9 followed by an interment at the Lynwood Cemetery, Te Anau.
