From the Fiordland National Park Visitor Centre, follow the Te Anau lakeshore toward the main shopping centre, continuing on the footpath to the boat harbour at Bluegum Point.

From here the track begins.

Travel along this popular walk/cycleway which borders Lake Te Anau, to the rodeo grounds and onwards to the mouth of the Upukeroa River mouth.

Return to the township by using the same track or via Milford Road.
